- Enquiries
- When you use the engagement form we receive your name, email address, phone number (optional), and message. The form sends them to us by email through Amazon Simple Email Service. If you email us directly, we receive whatever your email contains.
- Site analytics
- We run our own first-party analytics. For each page view we record the page address and title, the referring page, your screen size, your browser's user agent, your IP address, and the approximate location (country, region, city) and network provider derived from that IP address. We use no cookies, advertising trackers, or third-party analytics. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, no page view is recorded.
- Event pages
- Occasionally the site hosts a private event page with an RSVP form. Those forms store the name, attendance, and catering details you submit so the organiser can plan the event.
- Hosting
- Like any website, our hosting provider processes standard request data, such as your IP address and browser details, to deliver pages and keep the service secure.
- To reply to your enquiry and to work with you if we engage.
- To understand which pages are useful and how visitors find the site.
- To keep the site and its forms secure and free of spam.
We don't sell personal information, use it for advertising, or add you to a mailing list because you contacted us.
We use a small number of service providers to run the site. Each receives only what it needs to provide its service.
- Amazon Web Services
- Hosts the site, delivers enquiry emails, and stores analytics and RSVP records, in its Sydney (ap-southeast-2) region.
- ip-api.com
- Receives the IP address of each recorded page view to return its approximate location and network. It may process that address outside Australia.
- Google Fonts
- Serves the site's typefaces. Your browser requests them directly from Google, which receives your IP address and may process it outside Australia.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Enquiry emails are kept for as long as they're needed to respond and to manage any engagement that follows. Analytics records don't currently expire automatically; we delete them when they're no longer useful for understanding how the site is used.
Records are stored with Amazon Web Services, access is limited to the practice, and the analytics dashboard is password protected. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what we hold.
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing . We'll respond within a reasonable time. You can also turn on your browser's Do Not Track setting to stop page views being recorded.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au ↗.
We'll update this page if our practices change, and the date at the top will show when it last changed. Other ways to reach us are on the contact page.
